Having become intimately acquainted with airlines and airports during our view the Top 20 Airports for Tech Travelers, I have an appreciation for Zamp. The app–for iPhone and soon for Android–uses location detecting technology and social media analysis to help you do what you need to do at the airdrome with less harass, cope with upwards with people who are also traveling, and keep stats on all your travels throughout the year. Zamp mechanically figures out which airport you're at, and so gets all of your flight inside information including total miles traveled, logic gate info, and even your plane's tail number.
Once that's taken care of and you'ray at the gate, the app uses multiethnic media data to detect if any of your friends or would-be friends are on the one trajectory equally you are. Using this "ambient social" aspect of the app, you may be able to line up someone with whom you can equal a tantalize or share a taxi, or individual who will give you a travel tip.
The app also lets travelers use "lounges," where they tail end share tips about long lines, weather delays, etc. Travelers can participate by entering short, tweet-like messages through and through Zamp. These messages automatically disappear after the traveler's flight has left the airport.
Perhaps the coolest part is the basic analytics Zamp runs happening your travel history. You can see the sample "splashboard" here. Zamp tells you which airlines, routes, and airports you've used in the past year, for exercise, lists whol your flights, and plots them out on a map.
